A few weeks ago my husband starts texting me about this lizard that a coworker is trying to re-home. I immediately said NO. NO. NO. Then we find out that if someone in the office doesn’t take this lizard off their hands they were just going to flush it! At first my husband was just going to keep it in his office as an office pet but after I did some reading on the care of Green Anoles I told him to bring it home.
Her name is Flynn…or so we thought…it was actually named Finn by the previous people who had her. I call her Miss. Flynn. She came to us in terrible shape. She wasn’t fed properly and was nearly skin and bones. We’ve had her for almost 3 weeks now and she has improved so much health wise. She’s jumping all over her new and larger tank that we bought for her complete with a jungle vine. She sleeps in a living plant that is in the tank and she actually has a favorite leaf to sleep on. Its so damn cute.
Even though I said NO. NO. NO. to her originally I am now in love with her and enjoy watching and taking care of her. The kids get a kick out of her also. As does one of our two cats. CB does a daily visit/inspection of Miss Flynn. So far she hasn’t show any interest in trying to get her out of the tank. I don’t even think our other cat Riley knows we now have a lizard. Which is cool.
So yeah…we have a lizard now.
